Homeopathy is often questioned as a valid preventative or healing treatment. In today’s western society, everyone is used to a “quick fix”. Homeopathy and use of essential oils utilize small doses of natural substances to stimulate the body’s immune system. Just because results aren’t immediate, doesn’t mean the method’s not working.
Essential oils repel imbalances out of the body, enabling us to heal through organic process. Much of western medicine treats symptoms, but not the root problem. Homeopathy seeks to rebalance, and specific oils work similarly on specific ailments. Oils can be: dabbed onto an area in pain or on reflexology points on your feet, placed into your bath or into a diffuser for aromatic air, or ingested by placing several drops under the tongue or by mixing in a cup of water.
Some better-known essential oils are rosemary, clove, oregano, and lemon grass. All in all, there are hundreds of varieties. However, there is another—one that may surprise you, but is gaining popularity for its unwavering healing effects—CBD Rich Hemp Oil.
Cannabidiol Extract (CBD) is a chemical compound in marijuana, but without the THC. THC is psychoactive; CBD oil doesn’t get you high. Cannabidiol essential oil has an incredibly long list of health benefits without unwanted side effects. Pain relief and decreased inflammation are the primary positive yields from CBD oil use. Approximately 17 states across the U.S. have approved this essential oil as a valid, medicinal treatment.
The British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology published a 2013 study that showed CBD oil’s benefits are linked to:
- Reduce nausea and vomiting
- Reduce risk of seizures
- Battle psychotic disorders
- Reduce inflammation and battles against inflammatory diseases
- Reduce risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia onset
- Reduce growth of cancer cells
- Reduce anxiety and depression
Again, CBD oil is obtained from hemp (a part of the marijuana plant) that has no TCH content. Many countries still ban CBD oil because of its misunderstood reputation as being like “Cannibus oil,” which it is not. Cannibus oil has its own merits (like helping with glaucoma, pain control, and improving appetite), but CBD oil is different—it’s a worthy, legal, nutrient-rich, essential oil that is safe for use, even by children.
Rosemary oil is touted for its ability to relieve stress, pain, and indigestion. One study found that the use of sachets containing lavender and rosemary essential oils helped reduce anxiety associated with test-taking. Clove oil is commonly used as a numbing agent, helpful in treating toothaches or when doctoring a wound. Lavender and tea tree oil are capable of attacking common strains of bacteria and fungi. Tee tree oil can be used to ward off or treat lice.
Lemongrass essential oil can be used in drinks, cooking, and baking. It also helps relieve pain in joints and sore muscles after working out. Oregano oil can be attributed to its properties as an antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory. Yeast infections can be treated with oregano essential oil.
The practice of using essential oils to soothe, prevent, treat, and heal has been utilized for thousands of years. Naturally growing herbs, including hemp, can be medicinal and a more organic way of approaching the treatment of ailments.
